The Cassano Academy is an original idea of Marco Cassano. It starts from a desire to share with people the natural methods that have been useful to me in learning English, French, German, Chinese and Italian.

Different
I put my face and my last name into what I do. Many language schools with which I have worked personally exploit the preparation of competent teachers by hiding their names and contacts. I don't!
Funny
Someone said that a day without a smile is a day lost. Studying a new language should be an enjoyable experience and not a traumatic one as it has been for many of us in public schools. I can make the 99% of the people I interact with laugh. Can't believe it?
(UN)disciplined
I am basically undisciplined, look at my socks, but I learned to be disciplined to achieve the goals I set for myself as a child. I think some sane indiscipline is necessary in language learning, though, because what is grammatically correct is not always what we need to speak a new language. Let it be!

Why do you do what you do?
In 2021, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Before then, I'd held a diverse range of jobs, starting with working as a cleaner for our family business. I'm truly grateful to my parents; they taught me a valuable trade that not only allowed me to earn a living but also helped me develop essential life skills.
As I grew up, my work experience was incredibly varied. I was a beach entertainer, promoter, salesman, gardener, elderly caregiver, pizza maker, fast food operator, translator, transcriber, language interpreter, tour guide, cook's helper, bartender, laborer, bank cleaner (and yes, I mean I actually cleaned banks, not metaphorically!), window cleaner, general and skilled laborer, administrative accounting assistant, homemaker, and many other roles I can't even recall right now!
So, why do I do what I do now?
When I learned about my neurological condition, I realized that to continue providing for my beloved family, I'd need to rely on my mind rather than my body. With the incredible support and encouragement of my dear wife, I began a focused effort to improve my English, Italian, French, German, and Chinese language skills. I then started working with online language schools, which helped me build confidence in my teaching abilities.
Today, I don't consider myself to have "arrived," which is why I prefer not to call myself a language teacher. Instead, I see myself as a schoolmate who's here to help you achieve your goals.
